Erika Fiorello is a woman in her forties whose marriage of twenty-five years has come to an end when her husband leaves her for a younger woman. Her best friend Sophia finds herself in a similar situation as she catches her husband having an affair with another man.

At Mandolay's launch party, Alex’s wife walks in on Rose
and Alex leading to a chain of events which sends Rose into Marco’s arms. Rose ends her affair with Alex. Marco remains close, picking up the pieces of Rose's shattered heart.
